A headstone casts a reflection of the New Plymouth Cemetery on a cloudy day in the village with a view of the strip mining on the horizon. The cemetery is an important part of the history of New Plymouth with headstones dated back to 1800, the year the village was settled. The cemetery is taken care of by the trustees of The New Plymouth Cemetery Association and by the manual help from John Cherry. John's father also helped dig graves, mow and spread gravel on the driveway. After he passed away, John took over the responsibilities.
