Independence Pass Foundation volunteer Becki Braun leashes some of the 12 dogs she’s walking up the closed pass outside of Aspen, Colorado. Braun was excited for the season closure, because it gives her a safe place to walk dogs without having to deal with traffic. Braun helps with what she calls “poop patrol.” She helps with maintaining the trash cans on the pass and the stash of dog waste bags.
