Aspen Animal Shelter director Seth Sachson sits in the office with a number of his dogs on Friday, March 27, 2020. Sachson started working at the Aspen Animal Shelter 28 years ago after he finished college. “We’ve gone through 9/11, the recession and this is just insane,” said Sachson about the current COVID-19 pandemic. “We went from 100 miles an hour to one mile an hour…even through the coronavirus, we’re here standing to take care of the homeless pets that are seeking shelter.” To be respectful of social distancing expectations, the shelter is only doing adoptions through appointments at this time.
